Good to Know

Gas Line Questions

Do gas line jobs need a permit?

Yes, and we handle it. Every gas job we do is permitted, pressure-tested, and inspected. That's not red tape; it's how you know the line is safe.

What should I do if I smell gas?

Leave the house first, then call your gas utility's emergency line from outside. Once the utility has made it safe, call us to find and repair the leak and get everything re-lit.

Can you run a new line for a range, grill, or generator?

Yes. New drops for ranges, dryers, fireplaces, outdoor grills, fire pits, and standby generators are everyday work, sized so every appliance gets full pressure.

Does a tankless water heater need a bigger gas line?

Usually, yes. Tankless units pull far more gas than a tank while they run. We size the line as part of every install; see our tankless water heaters page.
